When Ralph Jones decided to start a glass company in Wooster, he chose the city because it served as a natural hub, allowing him and his partner to work in neighboring areas, like Millersburg, Holmes County, and beyond. The choice was a good one, as Wooster Glass Company has done a lot of work, especially commercial, in Holmes County.
As you can see from the Google map above, Wooster is well-positioned to serve areas like Millersburg, Holmes County, Ashland, Dover, New Philadelphia, Dalton, Massillon, Canton, Doylestown, Wadsworth, Creston, Medina (where we have a location), Burbank, Lodi, and beyond.
The Holmes County connection
For many decades, Holmes County held a special place in founder Ralph Jones’ heart. He and his wife, Grace, spent many a weekend at their lakefront cabin at Lake Buckhorn. Daughter Kathy Long, who is now president of Wooster Glass, has continued the tradition of spending weekends in Holmes County with the family at Lake Buckhorn. A number of our trained professionals live in Holmes County, too.
Some Wooster Glass projects in Holmes County
The people, businesses and organizations of Millersburg and Holmes County have been good to the Wooster Glass Company. “We are proud to have worked on the Harvest Ridge project, home of the new Holmes County Fair,” Vice President Pat Neyhart said.
Wooster Glass has done a lot of commercial work throughout Holmes County, the company specializes in all kinds of glass work, whether it is a doctor’s office, hospital, a historic home, a glass enclosure for a fire pit on the patio, or a glass enclosure for a shower.
Work in Holmes County and beyond
When Ralph Jones founded the company in 1947, his vision always included serving areas beyond Wooster. The city was like the hub of a spoked wheel, so Jones started his company and his family there with the understanding it would be a launching pad to serve people and businesses throughout the area.
Wooster Glass has been doing other work around Northeast Ohio. The company is doing the glass work for many fast food remodels as the restaurant chains give their stores an updated look.
If you have a glass problem, then the likelihood is Wooster Glass can help you. Whether you are in Wooster, Millersburg, Walnut Creek, Berlin or any point in-between, contact us. Sometimes, customers call other glass companies and wish they hadn’t. We recently had a customer give us a five-star rating on Facebook, the highest rating a company can receive, and this was after he had called another company to help. The customer wrote: “Fantastic service. They repaired an awful job that was done by another company and repaired all the damage they caused. Extremely good work and looks perfect.”
